Waka Petrillo is a dedicated yoga practitioner and a Yoga Alliance Registered 200-hour Hatha Yoga Instructor who has been teaching since 2018. Her yoga journey began in 2010 as a way to improve her back health and manage stress during college. Influenced by her studies with esteemed Iyengar Yoga teachers—including Matt Dreyfus, Michelle LaRue, and Dean & Rebecca Lerner—Waka’s teaching emphasizes alignment, strength, and mindfulness. She believes that practicing asanas (yoga poses) with proper alignment helps students build flexibility, balance, and stamina while cultivating mental clarity and inner peace.
Waka welcomes students of all levels and incorporates props such as blocks, bolsters, and straps to support accessible, personalized practice. Whether you’re new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice, Waka creates a supportive space for growth and well-being.
